Research Focus & Interests  

Dr. El-Gazzar's research is focused on development and validation of molecular diagnostic and molecular epidemiology assays for poultry disease. Accurate diagnosis and proper understanding of epidemiology are essential to successful poultry disease prevention, and control and eradication.

2018 P.P. Levine Award for the Best Paper Published in Avian Diseases from the American Association of Avian Pathologists.
